Again, network access control technology development of broadband services. This time, talking about family access networks, namely the copper access network, ADSL. Perhaps, this term we've heard, or even often we use as one of the vocabulary in conversation. There is nothing wrong, if we know more clearly about ADSL in detail and also "DSL Family" course.
Know the ADSL
The dominance of the cable networks had a positive impact on the development of networks in Indonesia, one of which is ADSL with copper cable network. With the rapidly growing broadband technologies, ADSL is one among the existing broadband technologies, in addition to cable and fixed wireless technologies.
ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is a method of high-speed digital data transmission over copper wires. ADSL can transmit data with a high bit rate, ranging between 1.5 Mbps - 8 Mbps for downstream direction (central - the customer), and between 16 Kbps - 640 Kbps for upstream direction (customer - central). ADSL transmission capability is able to transmit multimedia interactive services via the copper access network.
ADSL itself is one of the members of the "DSL Family". X-DSL technology itself has many variations, namely:
Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL)
Consumer Digital Subscriber Line (CDSL)
-ISDN Digital Subscriber Line (IDSL)
High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (HDSL)
Single High Speed DSL (SHDSL)
Rate-Adaptive Digital Subscriber Line (RADSL)
Very High bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL)
Single or Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL)
ADSL is a member of the "DSL Family" among the most popular variations of existing x-DSL.
